Welcome to Evil Barbee Studio, where functional fitness meets your needs. Our small group training sessions are tailored to address your unique fitness goals, helping you maintain and improve your overall health.
Our small group training sessions are led by experienced trainers who understand client’s unique needs and challenges.
We focus on improving mobility, strength, and balance through movements that mimic real-life actions, helping you perform daily activities with ease and reducing your risk of injury.
Dance Cardio
A mix of low and high intensity moves for a calorie burning dance party. Music that makes you want to move! Come ready to sweat and prepare to leave empowered and feeling strong.
Pilates
Our Pilates classes for those over 50 are designed to improve flexibility, strength, and balance in a safe and supportive environment. Pilates is a low-impact form of exercise that focuses on controlled movements and breathing techniques, making it ideal for mature adults who want to maintain or improve their fitness level.
Pink Ladies 60+
Pink Ladies Over 70’s Strength Training
Ladies only class for over 70’s. Strength training is the most effective way to improve physical function, increase muscle mass and strength, and comes with many other benefits, like getting healthier, feeling great and living life easier.
Tabata
Tabata training is a form of high-intensity interval training (HIIT) that involves 20 seconds of intense exercise followed by 10 seconds of rest or low-intensity recovery, repeated eight times for a total of four minutes. Come ready to work hard and torch calories.
Ken Do Men's Only Strength training
Working out with others in a small group setting is a great way to stay motivated and have fun exercising. We have a range of classes designed exclusively for over 70’s including Functional Training, Strength & Stretch and more. The more is coffee!
Yoga
Enjoy the full range of benefits that slow and gentle yoga poses offer, improving your flexibility and range of motion. Helps reduce your risk of injury. It will leave you feeling more flexible and energised, with a short meditation to finish. Classes are modified to suit over 50’s.
Functional Moves
Functional Moves is low impact and perfect for any age and fitness level. Resistance training involves using your own body weight or equipment, like a weight or band. Includes a warmup and stretching. You can start at a level that’s right for you and go at your own pace. A chair is used for those that need it.
Ladies Strength Circuit
Women’s only circuit training is a combination of six or more exercises performed with short rest periods for either a set number of repetitions or a prescribed amount of time. Finishing with core and balance work. Class is 45 minutes. Class is high intensity combined with fun!
Stix
Join us for an exhilarating fitness experience like no other with Stix Fitness Fusion! Get ready to drum, groove, and sweat your way to a healthier, happier you. In this dynamic class, we combine the infectious rhythms of drumming with high-energy cardio moves to create a workout that will leave you feeling energized and empowered. Using specialized drumsticks called “Stix,” you’ll drum along to the beat of invigorating music while performing a series of fun and effective exercises designed to tone your muscles, improve your coordination, and boost your cardiovascular endurance.
Standing Pilates
While not only enjoyable and fun, standing Pilates has many physical benefits. The challenge of gravity and your full weight onto your legs increases your leg strength, working on balance and improving coordination. Practicing balance can improves stability and helps prevent falls. Ideal for those prefer to stay standing.
Stretch and De-Stress
A class for everyone with Nadine guiding you through a gentle stretch and deep meditation to finish. Don’t miss the chance to slow down and breathe. Enjoy a one hour long class in the peaceful studio.
Swiss Ball
The Swiss Ball will provide a platform for your entire workout routine. Increase the intensity of your workout and place increased stress on your core by using the various levels provided. The effort to remain balanced engages additional muscles.

Melanie Quinn, founder of Evil Barbee Studio, is a highly qualified and passionate trainer with a background in education, personal training, and basketball. Her love for movement comes from her desire to maintain a healthy life to enjoy with her grandchildren. Melanie specializes in functional fitness for those over 50 and is committed to helping mature adults achieve their fitness goals in a supportive and safe environment.
